REGATTA OF THE ANCIENT MARITIME REPUBLICS PISA

The regatta of the four ancient maritime republics is an event that commemorates the glory of Amalfi, Genoa, Venice and Pisa. every year Since 1956, we are witnessing the challenge in turn in the four cities.
Every boat is recognized by the crest of the city:

• the winged horse to Amalfi
• the Lion for Venezia
• the Gryphon to Genova
• Eagle to Pisa

Un procession composed of 320 characters in historical outfits parading before the regatta, there are:
the consuls, the Podestà Palace, the captain of the people and the judges, soldiers, sailors, rowers, the trumpeters and timpanists, Kinzica deâ Sismondi on horseback, lâ  Ambassador, lâ Fleet Admiral, Sergeant, 2 priors of seven arts, 2 consuls mare
